Mint

HAMILTON - Mint, 6 year old, female, desexed, vaccinated with Filavac, microchipped.

I am looking for a new home for Mint, my lovely female rabbit.

Mint lost her husbun four months ago; they had a close and affectionate relationship, and she is now very lonely without him. I am rehoming Mint because I am not getting another rabbit and I hate to see her lonely. I am seeking a home where Mint can be bonded with another rabbit.

Mint is a very gentle and chilled out girl. She demonstrated lovely behaviour towards her husbun from the beginning. She was very affectionate towards him, and spent a lot of time grooming him (but also enjoyed being groomed back!). Mint is a little shy at first but quickly becomes friendly and happy around new people. She has a sweet nature and enjoys gentle pats. She doesn't enjoy vigorous handling and wouldn't be suitable in a busy household with small children, but somewhere with older children who are patient and gentle could be a good fit.

Mint is an indoor rabbit and is fully toilet trained, but has lived outside in the past. She enjoys her hay, but also loves long grass, safe foraged weeds, pear and apple leaves and branches, and treats of banana. She loves getting a small portion of Burgess pellets daily (she will work hard to manipulate food toys to get them out!), and will come running for a Meadow loop treat!

Tunnels are Mint's favourite toys and I often hear her running in and out of them! She also enjoys a good session of bunstruction inside her various cardboard houses.

Mint would thrive in a calm and caring environment, ideally with a male rabbit companion. An individual or family willing to provide her with a new bun companion, love, proper nutrition, veterinary care, and a safe space to explore (especially with tunnels), would make her feel right at home.

Mint will come with her medical records, pellets, top quality hay, tunnels, cardboard houses, toilet trays, grooming items, and toys.

Please contact me if you would like to know more about Mint. Please expect that I will ask about the living and care conditions for any new home that I consider. Mint will stay with me forever if I can't find her a great home, but I'd love to find her a new husbun and new home for her to flourish in.
