Help! I've Lost my Rabbit!

The very first thing to do BEFORE your rabbit goes missing is to microchip it so that if it does go astray and someone picks it up, there is a better chance of it finding its way home to you. Also, make sure you have current photos for lost posters etc

Often when rabbits go missing they are still quite close to home. Dusk and just before dawn are good times to look for them as they are more likely to come out to graze. Also check your property thoroughly and then the neighbours 2 - 3 houses each side of you. Call them and rattle their pellets too, if they respond to this normally.

If you have no luck then do the following -

* Register on Pets on the Net

* Register on Lost Pet

* Register in Trademe>Pets & Animals>Lost & Found

* Put flyers up at your local vet clinics, supermarkets, power poles etc

* Do a letter box drop in a 1km radius

* Go door knocking around your neighbourhood

* Advertise on your local FaceBook groups and the FB Marketplace

* Post on Facebook rabbit groups
